Police appeal to locate man after search of River Nene finds no trace
A man was reported to be in difficulty in the water on 20 May
Northamptonshire Police have started a fresh appeal for information after a man was spotted in the River Nene in Northampton.
They reacted to reports, around 2.15pm on 20 May, that a male was in difficulty in the water between Bedford Road and Billing Aquadrome.
Despite searching the area, they have not found anyone in the river.
Officers are asking any members of the public, who may have seen someone who looked like they had been in the water, to get in touch.
They are also asking the man, if he managed to exit the water, to contact them to let officers know he is safe.
Anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 282 of 20/05/26.
