Police appeal for witnesses after armed robbery in Kettering

The victim was first threatened with a knife and had his e-scooter and cash stolen, before the men came back and took his phone too

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a violent robbery on Rockingham Road, Kettering, in the early hours of Wednesday, October 15.

At approximately 2.15am, a man was approached by three males outside the Premier shop, who threatened him with a knife. The suspects stole his e-scooter and cash before fleeing the scene on the stolen scooter. As the victim continued walking towards the town centre, one of the group returned, assaulted him, and stole his mobile phone.

Police have arrested three men—aged 23, 21, and 18—in connection with the incident. All three have been released on police bail while further enquiries are ongoing.

Detectives are especially keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or may have captured any part of the robbery on dash-cam footage. “Detectives investigating this incident would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who may have inadvertently captured either robbery on dash-cam footage.”
