Pedestrian dies in Christmas Day collision near Rushden

Police say the 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A pedestrian has died in a crash on the A6 in Northamptonshire on Christmas Day.

The fatal road traffic collision happened on the A6 near Rushden.

The incident happened on Christmas Day at about 7.25pm, when a grey Land Rover travelling northbound was in collision with a pedestrian.

Sadly, the pedestrian - a 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are appealing for information and say they would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have CCTV or dash cam footage of the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.
