A 39-year-old man from Daventry has been jailed for nine years after being found guilty of nine offences, including rape, stalking, and controlling behaviour.

Sadian Findiku, formerly of Erickson Close, raped a woman inside an address in Northampton at the end of July 2024. Despite the woman making it clear she did not consent, Findiku forced himself on her.

Following the assault, he embarked on a campaign of harassment against her. This included stalking her, cornering her in the street, damaging her vehicles, and causing her to move home multiple times in an attempt to escape his abuse.

He was arrested by Northamptonshire Police on 1 December 2024 and charged with rape, assault by beating, three counts of criminal damage, breach of a non-molestation order, stalking, controlling and coercive behaviour, and possession of an offensive weapon.

A jury at Northampton Crown Court found him guilty of all charges on 24 June 2025. He was sentenced at the same court on 18 September 2025 to nine years in prison.

Lead investigator PC Chantal Carrington from Northamptonshire Police’s SOLAR Team, said: “The survivor in this case has shown the most outstanding fortitude and I want to commend her for her bravery and her incredible ability to remain graceful under immense pressure.

“She has had to rebuild her life multiple times whilst assisting with a complex and emotive investigation whilst Mr Findiku meanwhile, has been single-minded about attempting to destroy her as a person and a woman.

“She has not allowed him to do that and because of her choice to speak up, he is now behind bars where he belongs.

“I hope the conclusion of this case allows her to move forward with her very bright future without having to constantly look over her shoulder.”

"Love should lift you up and make you feel safe and happy.

"It shouldn't make you feel anxious, fearful and controlled.

"If you are suffering in a relationship, please come forward.

"You deserve better."
