Cyclist injured in collision with police car in Northamptonshire
Police seeking witnesses of incident on Gypsy Lane, Irchester
A cyclist was injured after a collision involving a police car in Northamptonshire.
The incident occurred at around 7.30pm on 4th February on Gypsy Lane, Irchester.
The cyclist was taken to University Hospital Coventry where his injuries were described as non-life-changing or threatening.
The road was temporarily closed while initial investigations were conducted by authorities.
Following the collision, Northamptonshire Police referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, adhering to standard protocol for collisions involving police vehicles.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit have appealed for witnesses who were in the area at the time and those who may have dash-cam footage.
