Four people have been arrested on suspicion of Class A drug supply offences in Northampton.

On Wednesday, July 30, officers executed warrants at five addresses across the town under Section 8 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.

The operation, which was months in the planning and based on information received from the local community, resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of Class A and B drugs, as well as weapons including imitation firearms.

Detective Superintendent Kelly Glister, head of Crime, said the intelligence-led operation demonstrated the impact of community information in tackling illegal drug-related activity.

She added that the seizure of drugs and weapons had made Northampton a safer place and highlighted the professionalism of the officers involved.

The arrests include a 31-year-old Northampton woman on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cocaine; a 45-year-old Northampton woman suspected of possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis; a 22-year-old man from Brixworth arrested on suspicion of involvement in the supply of cocaine and possession of cannabis; and a 22-year-old Northampton man arrested on suspicion of being involved in cocaine supply, cannabis cultivation, and possession of cannabis.

All four suspects have been released on conditional bail while investigations continue. The warrants were conducted at properties on Kenmuir Crescent, Broadway East, Harefield Road, The Grove, and Fullingdale Road.
