Two arrests during Northamptonshire care home fraud investigation

A man and a woman were questioned on suspicion of fraud and money laundering

Two people have been arrested after police carried out raids over alleged charity fraud linked to a Northamptonshire care home.

The arrests were made after Northamptonshire Police’s Economic Crime Unit executed search warrants at residential addresses in Golders Green, North London and Leamington Spa, Warwickshire on Wednesday, 25th March.

A man and a woman, both in their 60s, from London and Warwickshire, were apprehended on suspicion of fraud and money laundering offences.

Both have been released on police bail as investigations continue.

The warrants were served following allegations of fraudulent activity linked to a charity associated with the care home in question.

Police inquiries remain ongoing.
