Northampton Town FC reports racist social media post after Rotherham game

The club has condemned the comments and is cooperating with police

Northampton Town Football Club has condemned a racist social media post targeting some of its players after Tuesday’s match against Rotherham.

The club has reported the post to the social media platform involved and the police, stating it will fully cooperate with any investigation that follows.

In a statement on their website, the club said: "Northampton Town Football Club condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the racist social media post directed at some of our players after Tuesday’s game at Rotherham."

They added that such comments will not be tolerated and expressed their full support for the players impacted.
