Family tribute to “caring and incredibly kind” mum
Police officers were called to a caravan park in Sywell following reports of an assault
The family of Sue Lumsden, who died in Sywell this week, have described her as a “caring and incredibly kind mum who loved to laugh”.
They said:
“Mum was a beautiful person inside and out — fun, bubbly, caring and incredibly kind. She loved to laugh and had a special way of making those around her smile. Her warmth and loving nature touched so many lives.
“We have chosen this photo because it captures her happy spirit and the person she truly was — full of love, laughter and life.
“Above all, she was a wonderful Mum and a much-loved Nanny Sue, Sister, Auntie and friend. She was deeply cherished by her family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, laughter and loving nature will always be remembered.
“Mum will be missed more than words can say, but the love she gave, the laughter she shared and the memories we made together will remain in our hearts forever. She was truly special and will always be loved.”
Northamptonshire police say Sue’s family continue to request privacy at this difficult time as they come to terms with their tragic loss.
Police officers were called to a caravan park in Ecton Lane, Sywell, at about 6.20am on Monday, August 24, following reports of an assault.
When they arrived, they sadly found the body of a woman inside a caravan. She has been named as 62-year-old Susan Lumsden.
A murder investigation was launched, and a 72-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody at this time.
