Mobile phone robbery in Kilsby prompts search for witnesses

Police are seeking help after a robbery in Boxwood Drive

Police are urging people to come forward with information following a robbery in Boxwood Drive, Kilsby.

The incident took place on 11th November between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, when the victim had arranged to sell a mobile phone advertised online.

According to officers, both parties initially met on Main Road, Kilsby, where the suspect had been waiting inside a red phone box. After getting into the victim's car, they drove to Boxwood Drive where the suspect examined the phone but then fled the scene without making payment.

The victim pursued the suspect on Main Road, Ashby Road, and Spring Close, halting when the suspect reportedly shouted that he had a weapon.

The suspect is described as black, in his late teens to early 20s, and estimated to be between 5ft 7in and 5ft 8in. He has a slim build and was wearing a white t-shirt and grey joggers, with shiny red shorts visible underneath.

Northamptonshire Police has appealed for witnesses or anyone who can help identify the suspect to get in touch. People can call 101 or reach Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
