Police confirm there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Marc Hoodless' death
The body of a man, missing since September, has been found in woodland in Kettering.
While formal identification is yet to take place, detectives believe the deceased to be 41-year-old Marc Hoodless, who was reported missing on 22nd September 2025.
After extensive enquiries and searches, specialist police teams discovered his body on Saturday, 29th November.
No suspicious circumstances
Northamptonshire Police confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Marc’s death, and investigators will now prepare a report for the Coroner.
Detective Chief Inspector Nick Peters expressed condolences to Marc’s family, stating: “This is a very sad case, and our thoughts are with Marc’s family and loved ones who have requested privacy at this difficult time.”
Family gratitude
Marc’s family shared their appreciation for the efforts of police and search teams in locating him.
“We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Northamptonshire Police and all of the search teams involved for their efforts in the search for Marc," the statement read.
“This has been a really hard time for all of us but we are grateful for the police’s professionalism and care.
“We have been treated with dignity since the beginning and for that we are very thankful.”
