Man seriously injured after car leaves the road in Wellingborough

A man in his 20s has been seriously injured after the car he was a passenger in left the road in Wellingborough.
It happened in the early hours of yesterday (Wednesday February 12)
Police are appealing for witnesses to the single-vehicle collision in Northern Way.
Officers say at about 2am, for reasons not yet known, the driver of a grey Volkswagen Golf left the carriageway at the roundabout junction with Stewarts Road.
As a result of the collision, the front seat passenger – a man in his 20s – was taken to University Coventry Hospital with serious injuries.
A 20-year-old man from Northampton has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage that captured any part of the collision.
