Man charged with Wellingborough murder

Police detectives investigating the death of Darren King in Wellingborough have charged a man with his murder.

20-year-old Dante King, of Birchfield Road, Wellingborough, has been charged with murder and will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court later today.

At around five past three on Sunday afternoon, officers were called to Birchfield Road to reports that a man had been stabbed.

Despite the efforts of the emergency services, 38-year-old Darren King, from Wellingborough, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested a second man on suspicion of murder but he was released with no further action being taken against him.
