Four arrested after M1 robbery
The driver of a white Toyota Prius was forced to stop by a black Range Rover
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after an alleged robbery on the M1 southbound.
The incident happened between 3pm and 3.30pm on Wednesday, (12 November) near junction 16, when the driver of a white Toyota Prius was forced to stop by a black Range Rover.
According to police, several occupants of the Range Rover approached the Prius driver, allegedly threatened him and stole items before leaving the scene.
Four men from South Yorkshire, aged 28, 29, 32 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
All have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Officers are urging anyone who travelled on the southbound M1 that afternoon—particularly those near the Northamptonshire county border—to check their dash-cam footage for either vehicle or any part of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Northamptonshire Police.
