Police seek witnesses after man dies in M1 collision near Junction 15

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s from the West Midlands died in a single-vehicle collision on the northbound carriageway of the M1 near Junction 15.

The crash occurred at around 10.40pm on Tuesday 16th December when the driver of a white Mercedes collided with the nearside metal barrier for reasons not yet known.

Despite the efforts of passing members of the public and police officers, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are asking for anyone who may have dash-cam footage capturing any part of the collision or surrounding moments to come forward.
