A 20-year-old man has appeared at Northampton Crown Court charged with the murder of 16-year-old Khadeem Parris.

Samwari Solomon, of Coalhall Avenue, Motherwell, Scotland, appeared on Tuesday, 11th August.

Khadeem died from a stab wound following an incident at an address in Adnitt Road, Abington, on Tuesday, 7th July.

Solomon was remanded into custody until his next hearing on Monday, 17th August.

He will appear at the same court alongside his co-defendant, Faud Mohamud, aged 21, of no fixed address.

A 19-year-old man, a 56-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, all arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, remain on police bail pending further inquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Ryan Catling, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said: "Our thoughts remain with Khadeem's family, who continue to be supported by specially trained officers and kept updated as the investigation progresses."

"Following Khadeem's murder in Adnitt Road on Tuesday, July 7, officers and police staff from across the East Midlands have been working around the clock on a complex and fast-moving investigation."

"To date, five people have been arrested, including two men who have been charged with murder. While this marks significant progress, our work continues and we remain determined to bring everyone involved in Khadeem's death to justice."

"We are still appealing for information from anyone who was near Adnitt Road or Dallington Park between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on the day of the murder and may have seen suspicious activity or anyone acting out of the ordinary."

"Please do not assume that someone else has already shared information with us. Even details that may seem insignificant could prove vital to our enquiries including dash-cam footage that may have inadvertently captured something."
