Today, Northampton anticipates the roar of over 200 Harley Davidson riders participating in the 'April Fools Run', a yearly tradition aimed at raising funds for Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity.

Organised by Radu Golici and his wife Oana from Northants V Twin, this ride marks the 17th year of the event, which aims to showcase the biker community’s dedication to supporting charitable causes.

Activities will commence at 9.30 am at Sixfields Stadium, where bikers will gather for a social meeting and safety briefing before setting off at 11 am. Their route ends at Market Square, where Cynthia Spencer Hospice representatives will greet them with family-friendly activities, stalls, and opportunities for fundraising.

Hundreds of Harley Davidson owners are expected to turn out for today's ride.

Radu Golici shared his excitement: “It’s a great event, it sounds amazing when we blow the whistle and fire up 200 Harley Davidsons at the same time.

''You have to see it to believe it.'' He said.

Golici says the hospice is the event's chosen charity as it has supported numerous bikers in the community. "It's feel-good fun as you’re helping a charity while having a good time," Golici added. "Cynthia Spencer is something really close to our hearts, as the hospice has looked after some of our customers."

Discussing the impact of the ride, Golici remarked, “It's absolutely beautiful. You can’t describe in words, it's amazing. The sight of all those bikes together is phenomenal.”

Golici also shared his thoughts on the community engagement: “We built our business on supporting our community – it's something we do to give back.”
