Police appeal for witnesses after van driver seriously injured in A14 collision

The driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a van driver was seriously injured in a collision with a HGV lorry on the A14 near Welford.

The incident happened at around 9am yesterday morning when a silver Mercedes Sprinter van and a white Scania HGV collided on the eastbound lane of the A14, situated between the Catthorpe Interchange and Junction 1.

The driver of the van - a man in his 20s - was seriously injured and was taken to the University Hospital Coventry.

The police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage that filmed any part of the collision.
