Man charged after serious assault in Wellingborough

The charge follows a stabbing in Brentford, Wellingborough on Sunday.

A 45-year-old man appeared at Northampton Magistrates Court today, after being charged in connection with a serious assault in Wellingborough.

James Gore, of Brentford, Wellingborough, was charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

This comes after an incident in Brentford, Wellingborough, shortly before 6pm on Sunday, when a man in his 30s was stabbed.

Gore was remanded into custody until April the 28th, when he is due to appear at Northampton Crown Court.
