Full closure order secured for Spring Boroughs flat to combat anti-social behaviour
Efforts continue to improve safety and wellbeing in St Stephens House
A full closure order has been granted for a property in St Stephens House, Spring Boroughs, in a bid to address ongoing anti-social behaviour (ASB) issues.
This measure was approved today, 19th June, following continued efforts by West Northamptonshire Council and local partners.
A partial closure order, in effect since 30th April, had already seen a reduction in ASB within the building.
However, further problems were reported and connected to a specific flat, prompting additional action.
The full closure order aims to reassure residents and enhance safety and wellbeing for those in the building.
Rachel Head, ASB Case Manager at West Northamptonshire Council, played a pivotal role in obtaining the order, alongside colleagues and the Clear Hold Build team.
Ben Frost, Clear Hold Build Sergeant (West), stated:
"This is a really positive result for the residents of St Stephens House who have been affected by ongoing anti-social behaviour.
"While the partial closure order made a significant difference, it was clear further action was needed to address the issues linked to this specific property.
He extended gratitude to Rachel Head and all partners involved for their work in gathering necessary evidence.
Neighbourhood Policing teams will continue collaborating with partners to ensure long-term, sustainable reductions in crime and antisocial behaviour, positively impacting communities they serve.
Efforts from Northamptonshire Police and Clear Hold Build colleagues remain focused on enhancing community safety and tackling persistent issues across Northampton.
