Fatal collision on A45 Flore Bypass

Police officers are appealing for witnesses, after a fatal road traffic collision on the A45 Flore Bypass.

It happened yesterday (August 24), at about 9.40pm, when a collision occurred between the driver of a white Nissan Townstar van, travelling towards Daventry and the driver of a green HGV, travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Nissan, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have CCTV or dash cam footage of the collision.

A mandatory referral has been submitted to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IPOC) in relation to this incident, due to recent police contact with the deceased, in the days prior to the collision.
