The family of Harshita Brella, a 24-year-old woman whose body was discovered in the boot of a car in Ilford, east London, is determined to seek justice as the prime suspect in her murder remains at large.

Ms Brella was found in a silver Vauxhall Corsa on Brisbane Road on the 14th November 2024.

Authorities believe her husband, Pankaj Lamba, fled to India after a murder charge was authorised against him.

In addition to this charge, he is accused of two counts of rape, sexual assault, and controlling or coercive behaviour.

Northamptonshire Police have previously stated that they suspect Ms Brella was strangled on the evening of the 10th November in Corby, with her body transported to Ilford the following day.

As part of their campaign for justice, Ms Brella’s family, originally from India, are visiting the UK.

During the visit, Ms Brella's sister, Sonia Dabas, shared her commitment to achieving justice for her sister with ITV News, saying, "Her pain, strength, and memories are inside me and I’m going to get justice for my sister."

Ms Brella’s mother, Sudesh Kumari, reflected on conversations with her daughter and expressed deep sadness over the circumstances of her visit to the UK.

Ms Brella's father, Satbir Singh, visited a lake where his daughter had spent time, telling ITV News about the profound pain he felt seeing the place again, missing his daughter dearly.

A campaign for justice continues as her family holds onto the memories and strength of Harshita Brella.
