Fire crews battle blaze at Corby's Earlstrees Industrial Estate
Ten fire engines on scene during recycling waste fire
A significant fire has broken out at Earlstrees Industrial Estate on Gretton Brook Road in Corby.
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident after receiving the call shortly before 2pm on 10th August.
With ten fire engines and two aerial appliances present, crews are tackling approximately 500 tonnes of recycling waste that has caught fire.
Northamptonshire Police officers are assisting at the scene, managing road closures and crowd control.
Residents living nearby are advised to close their windows and doors due to the smoke plume and to avoid the area for safety reasons.
