Collision leaves cyclist seriously injured in Northampton
The collision took place on Broadway East this morning.
A cyclist has been seriously injured after a collision on Broadway East in Northampton.
The incident took place at 8.25am this morning at the junction with Lindsay Avenue involving the driver of a black Volvo V60 car and the rider of a black pedal cycle.
The bike's rider, a woman in her 40s, was seriously injured and was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry.
Police arrested an 80-year-old Northampton man on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving. He currently remains in police custody.
