Northamptonshire Police are appealing for information after a cat was shot and killed in the Eastfield Park area of Northampton.

The first incident occurred on Wednesday, 8th October, between 12pm and 4pm, when the pet was struck twice with what appeared to be air rifle pellets.

Tragically, a week later, the same cat was believed to have been shot again, leading to its death.

The attack happened either in the vicinity of Rydal Mount or close to the playground area in Eastfield Park.

Police are now urging anyone who may have witnessed the incidents or has any information to come forward.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said they are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in and around the area during the times of the attacks.
