Appeal for witnesses after serious assault in Kettering town centre
Police seek public help following incident outside Earl of Dalkeith pub on Bank Holiday Monday
Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a serious assault took place in Horsemarket, Kettering, on the evening of Bank Holiday Monday (25 May).
The incident happened between around 9.30pm and 10.30pm, when a man was seen attacking a woman. Members of the public stepped in to intervene, which then led to a further altercation involving another man outside the Earl of Dalkeith pub. During this confrontation, the suspect suffered serious injuries.
Officers say the suspect is described as a white male with shoulder-length dark hair, last seen wearing a beige top and black trousers.
Investigators are particularly keen to identify and speak with the people who intervened to help the woman, as they may have key information that could assist the ongoing inquiry.
