17 year old girl assaulted at Northampton bus stop
Police say several members of the public intervened to separate the suspects from the victim
Northamptonshire Police are seeking witnesses following an assault on a 17-year-old girl at a bus stop in Northampton.
The incident happened on Monday 20th April l between 4.15pm and 4.45pm outside the Close Encounters shop in Abington Square.
Police say several members of the public intervened to separate the suspects from the victim and helped bring the situation to an end.
Officers are particularly interested in speaking with those who intervened, as well as anyone who witnessed the assault or has relevant information.
Two girls aged 13 and 16 have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail while further enquiries are conducted.
