A45 closed after serious collision
Drivers urged to avoid the area between Wellingborough and Northampton
A major section of the A45 in Northamptonshire has been shut in both directions following a serious collision earlier today (Tuesday 18th August).
The closure extends from the Wilby Way roundabout in Wellingborough to the Bedford Road junction in Northampton.
Police have indicated that the thoroughfare is likely to be shut for much of the day, urging drivers to seek alternative routes and avoid the area.
