Woman dies after being struck by car at Silverlink Retail Park

An 81-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car at Silverlink Retail Park in North Shields.

The collision happened outside the Marks and Spencer store at around 5:10pm on Monday 22nd December.

Emergency services attended and found the woman had sustained serious injuries.

She was taken to hospital for treatment but died the following day. Her family has been informed.

The incident involved a white Renault Captur, and the driver of the car remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries.
