Iconic works brought to life as exhibition heads to the North East
Vincent van Gogh’s renowned creations will come alive in Newcastle this summer during an expansive art exhibition set to captivate the North East.
Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience will take over the Utilita Arena Newcastle from 12th July to 9th August 2026, presenting a vibrant display of the artist's work across a 10,000 sq ft space enhanced by cutting-edge projection technology.
Pre-sale tickets are available from 10am on 9th March, providing early access to exclusive offers and optimal viewing schedules. Following this, general ticket sales will commence at 10am on 13th March.
More than 300 of Van Gogh's masterpieces, including famed artworks such as The Starry Night and Sunflowers, will be featured—each animated to life with movement and music in this immersive event.
According to Anna Parry from Annerin Productions, “We’re incredibly excited to bring Beyond Van Gogh to Newcastle. The North East has such a strong cultural identity, and this experience allows visitors to step directly inside Vincent’s extraordinary world.”
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore interactive spaces like the Sunflower Alley, designed to evoke Van Gogh’s celebrated style.
Caroline James of Utilita Arena Newcastle added, “We’re thrilled to host Beyond Van Gogh at the arena this summer. It’s a visually stunning production that transforms the space in a completely different way and will draw visitors from across the North East and beyond.”
The exhibition will also offer special sessions such as SEND-friendly experiences, adult-only viewings, and weekend yoga immersions.
Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience promises a unique chance for audiences to engage intimately with Van Gogh's art during the 29-day event.
