Sunderland's much-loved Food and Drink Festival is set to return from the 5th to the 7th of June 2026, and this year promises to be bigger and more exciting than before.

The festival, which attracted around 50,000 visitors last year, will feature additional space for stalls and a second stage for performers, located on the former Argos site on High Street West.

Visitors can look forward to a diverse range of global food stalls alongside local talent and top tribute acts.

For families, there will be a full programme of children's activities, including workshops and outdoor games.

The festival will coincide with Pride In Sunderland and the Makers & Bakers market at the Bridges, offering a weekend packed with entertainment.

Roberta Redecke, Head of Business Services for Sunderland’s BIDs, highlighted the festival’s impact, saying, "The festival now has an amazing reputation and draws thousands of people, which brings a huge boost to the local economy."
