As we approach the end of the year, Durham PCC Joy Allen tells us about her main priorities for the new year.

She says that she aims to put plans into place and deliver what matters to the public.

Joy Allen, Police and Crime Commissioner for County Durham and Darlington, said: "First thing in the new year is pulling all those plans in place, getting the consultation back from the public, and then over the next three years delivering what matters to the public.

"It’s putting those things into place what the public want and the public tell me that antisocial behaviour, serious and organised crime, speeding vehicles, off road vehicles, drug and alcohol crime is really important.

"I'm obviously held to account at the ballot box, but they need to have the confidence and assurance that I'll listen to what's important to them. Through my plan, which is jointly signed by the Chief Constable, we deliver what matters to the people of County Durham and Darlington."
