Newcastle United Assistant Coach, Graeme Jones and footballer Kieran Trippier will be the special guests at an upcoming fundraising event in support of St Oswald’s Hospice. And they will be bringing a very special trophy along with them too!

Jones and Trippier are both official Ambassadors of St Oswald’s Hospice in Newcastle and have worked with the North East charity to organise an event titled ‘The Road to Wembley: Quality Time with Jones & Trippier.’’

This event will honour Newcastle United’s victorious Carabao Cup campaign. Both men will appear on stage in conversation, giving a unique insight into the team’s preparation, journey through the rounds and eventual triumph, bringing home the club’s first domestic trophy since 1955. And the trophy will be there on the night, so guests can get a photograph alongside it.

The Road to Wembley: Quality Time with Jones & Trippier will be held at Newcastle’s Crowne Plaza Hotel on the evening of Friday 11th July 2025. After reliving their successful season, Jones & Trippier will take part in a Q & A, and the audience can submit questions in advance, to gain an insight into life both on and off the pitch.

Graeme Jones said:

“I am proud and delighted to be working with the St Oswald’s Hospice team to support their fundraising efforts and raise awareness of their vital work in our North East community. I have personally experienced the care of the hospice first-hand, over 30 years ago, when my Mam Rita was a patient there. My wife Debbie and I have never forgotten the care that my mam received at St Oswald’s Hospice. The staff looked after us all at what was in incredibly difficult time, so t’s a privilege to be able to show my support and help them to raise funds.”

Kieran Trippier added:

“Since becoming an Official Ambassador for St Oswald’s Hospice Children and Young Adults, I’ve visited several times and met with some of the children and young people who have short breaks there, and some of the families. It’s been a real pleasure. I’ve had some fun conversations with the young people about football and how the team are doing, including reviewing my performance in previous games too!

“Every family I have met have said how wonderful, helpful and supportive the Hospice is for them. I’m keen to help raise awareness of the Hospice as well as with their fundraising efforts, and that’s one of the reasons for teaming up with Graeme to hold this event.”

Tickets are now on sale for what the hospice warns will be a sell-out event. Tables of 10 can be secured for £1200 and limited individual tickets are available at £125 each. Tickets include an arrival drink followed by a two-course meal and drinks on the table. There will also be fundraising raffles and auctions throughout the evening, where guests can be in with the chance of winning exclusive, money can’t buy prizes.

Steph Edusei, Chief Executive at St Oswald; Hospice said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have Graeme and Kieran as our Official Hospice Ambassadors, and when they came to us with the idea for this event, we were all so excited!

Newcastle United have had a fantastic season culminating in cup glory, so this is a wonderful opportunity for our supporters to come together and celebrate a season of success, while supporting a cause close to theirs, Graeme’s and Kieran’s hearts.”
