Teenager in hospital after incident in Newcastle
At around 10:30pm yesterday (Wednesday), Northumbria Police responded to a report of a disturbance in the Charnwood Avenue area of Longbenton.
“Emergency services attended where it was found a man, aged in his teens, had sustained serious head injuries.
He was taken to hospital where he remains. A woman in her 30s was found to have also sustained minor injuries.
A man, aged in his teens, has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He remains in police custody at this time.
"A cordon is in place and officers remain at the scene to conduct enquiries.
