Man charged following attempted murder investigation in Alnwick

The 21-year-old is accused of driving a car at a pedestrian, leaving the victim with serious injuries

A 21-year-old man from Amble has been charged following an attempted murder investigation in Alnwick.

Keowen Eaton is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and dangerous driving.

It follows a reported incident on Friday (29 May) on St Thomas’ Crescent, where a Black Audi A3 was driven at a pedestrian, before leaving the scene.

A man was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries, where he remains.

Eaton is due to appear in court tomorrow (Monday 1 June).
