Sunderland Food and Drink Festival is taking place across Keel Square, High Street West and Market Square from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 June.

Featuring food from across the world including street food and artisan produce, visitors will also be able to enjoy the live stage programme in Keel Square from 11am to 7pm every day.

John, bar manager at JC's bar, said: "We're expecting a lot of friendly faces, people running around, a lot of children playing over in the corner there, a lot of good music and people having a really good time.

"Excited! Really, really good. So many friendly people up here. We're from down south and we came up here and it’s just a lovely bunch of people.

"It's just such a lovely atmosphere here and it will benefit us really well.

"Getting everybody together. Just a big, beautiful atmosphere for the city.

"The financial bit is always great. That's why we're here. That's why we're working, and this is just a great place with loads of lovely people coming and buying a beer."
