Two dinosaurs have caused a bit of a stir in Newcastle today.

The four and nine metre long models have been seen arriving at the city's Life Science Centre.

They're due to feature in an exhibition opening at the end of this month.

A spokesperson for the Life Science Centre said:

"A 9-metre long, four tonne T.rex and a four metre high three tonne Carnotaurus caused quite a stir in Newcastle today as they stopped off at Life Science Centre (Life)!

"Life is preparing to launch The Great Dinosaur Escape this month which will feature the largest collection of animatronic dinosaurs in the north of England and will be one of Life’s largest collections of exhibits to date.

"Opening on 28 March, the immersive, large-scale experience will feature 20 ultra-realistic animatronic dinosaurs. The collection has been developed in Mexico by Dinosaurios Mexico, and this will be its first appearance in the UK."
