Police appeal for witnesses after man assaulted in Cromer

He was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Cromer last night.

Officers were called at around a quarter to midnight to reports that a man in his 40s had been assaulted following an altercation with another man on Church Street.

He was flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.

Police arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of assault. He has been taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre for questioning where he currently remains.

A road closure is in place on Church Street while police continue their investigations.
