Woman and police officers injured during assault in Norwich
Three men have been arrested
Three men have been arrested following an incident that left a woman with serious injuries in Norwich.
Norfolk Police say they received a report on Thursday afternoon (15 May) that a woman was being assaulted by three men on Rouen Road.
Officers arrived and arrested the men, who they believe were known to the victim. The men then assaulted the officers.
The victim was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries. Four police officers also needed medical treatment.
Three men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of assault and assault of a police officer and remain in police custody.
