Woman dies following collision between car and lorry in Bawdeswell

A teenage girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries

A woman in her 40s has died following a collision in Bawdeswell.

Emergency services were called out to the A1067 at 12.07pm on 30 April following reports of a collision between a car and a lorry.

Officers say it involved a blue BMW X2 and a white Volvo lorry.

The driver of the BMW died at the scene.

A passenger in the car, a teenage girl, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the lorry suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed for around seven hours as investigation work was carried out - it reopened at 7.30pm.

Officers are now appealing for people with information or dashcam footage of the collision to come forward.
