Wisbech shoplifter jailed for over a year

A man has been jailed for over a year after shoplifting three times in less than a week from a Wisbech shop.
Shoplifter Lee Thompson stole from the Tesco Express store on Kirkgate Street in the town between the 14th and 18th of August.
In addition to Tesco, the 44-year-old stole from the Boots branch in the Horsefair Shopping Centre in Wisbech. He also committed several various offences in Norfolk.
Thompson was arrested by police on at his home in John F Kennedy Court, in Wisbech. He then appeared at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday the 15th of December where he was jailed for 13 months.
The sentence included the activation of suspended sentences for similar offences. Thompson was also ordered to pay £99.99 in compensation.
