Woman charged after Weeting crash leaves elderly people in hospital

A man in his 80s and a woman in her 70s suffered serious injuries back in April

A 23-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a serious crash on the A1065 Mundford Road in Weeting.

Anna Winstead, from Vicarage Road, Newmarket, was involved in the collision on 16th April 2026 at 10.34am, which involved a silver Suzuki Swift, a grey Citroen Picasso, and a red Nissan Qashqai.

A man in his 80s driving the Citroen and a woman in her 70s suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Winstead has been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by careless driving and is set to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on 6th August 2026.
