'Wasted season' for Norwich City, says supporters trust chair
The Canaries could finish as high as 12th place in the Championship- with a win and kind results elsewhere
The head of Norwich City's supporters trust tells us it's been a 'wasted season', which hasn't seen the team build on last years work.
The Canaries face Cardiff in their final game of the season from 12.30 at Carrow Road. They can't finish in the Championship's top ten.
Former Norwich boss Johannes Hoff Thorup has said this week that he wasn't given enough time to turn things around at Carrow Road.
The Dane says he would've done things differently - if the aim for the season was to get the canaries to get to the play-offs. He sacked last week following a run of just two wins in 14 matches.
"Those are the sort of the games that Johannes Hoff Thorup struggled to find a solution for"
Rob Sainty is chair of the club's official supporters club, the Canaries Trust:
"If Cardiff come and do what most away teams do at Norwich, which is try to play on the break, that will be very interesting. As those are the sort of the games that Johannes Hoff Thorup struggled to find a solution for.
"The results and performances over the ten or a dozen games under Thorup really weren't good enough. I can see why the club let him go, but I can also see why Thorup feels let down.
"In the last game against Middlesborough, they were much more progressive with their passing and the ball was moved quicker. Players looked up for it, snapping into tackles and pressing well.
"That all being said, it was clearly a game that suited Norwich as Middlesborough were desperate for three points and that showed more as the game went on".
