Two teenagers charged with drug offences following girl's death in Great Yarmouth

Both have been charged with supplying MDMA and being concerned in the supply of MDMA

Two teenagers have been charged with drug offences in Great Yarmouth after appearing in court today (Wednesday 28 January).

Kian Lockett, aged 18, of King Street, Great Yarmouth and Nathan Laffitte, aged 18, of no fixed address, both appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court charged with supplying MDMA and being concerned in the supply of MDMA.

It follows an investigation into the death of a 15-year-old girl in the Great Yarmouth area at the weekend.

Emergency services were called at 00:30am on Saturday 24th January following reports that the girl had become unwell.

She was taken by ambulance to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston but sadly died a short time later.

A post-mortem examination will later take place.

Kian Lockett and Nathan Laffitte were arrested on Monday 26 January and subsequently charged and remanded until today’s court appearance.

Both have been further remanded and are due to appear before Norwich Crown Court on 25th February 2026.
