A mother-of-four who was allegedly murdered has been described by her family as a woman of great faith, who was passionate about her children.

Tania Williams, 49, was found fatally injured in Thorpe St Andrew on Saturday, Norfolk Police said.

The force said officers were called to Catherine Gardens shortly before 11.45pm to reports of a woman injured in the street.

She had sustained a neck wound and was declared dead at the scene.

Raymond Williams has been charged with her murder and is due to appear before Norwich Crown Court for a plea hearing on February 27, Norfolk Police said.

He is due to stand trial from July 20.

The 61-year-old gave his address as Catherine Gardens during an earlier appearance before Norwich Magistrates' Court where he was remanded into custody.

In a tribute released through police, the family of Ms Williams said she was "a woman of great faith - believing in Christ".

"She was also a woman who was passionate about her four children," her family said.

"Tania was undoubtedly beautiful, she was honest but mostly was always giving to others, the list about her bubbly personality truly goes on.

"Our family wants to continue to honour her and her generous nature even in her passing, which stems from deep rooted faith and kindness.

"Even though her life was cut short; she still lived a full life - leaving many beautiful memories with her children and family behind.

"Her children want to keep their memories of her alive by honouring her passions and fulfil any dreams she didn't get to do here on earth."
