Three men charged following fatal collision with cyclist in Colney

Three men have been charged in connection with a fatal road traffic collision that claimed the life of a cyclist in Colney.
The incident occurred at approximately 5.10am on Thursday, 9 November 2023, when a black Mercedes was involved in a collision with a cyclist. The cyclist, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have charged 23-year-old Sagaanan Suntharalingam, of Houghton Road, Dunstable, with causing death by careless driving, causing death while driving without insurance, and perverting the course of justice.
Two other men, Melvin Arulanandam, 24, of Glenthorne Gardens, Sutton, and Pratheep Sukumar, 24, of Adelaide Gardens, Romford, have each been charged with perverting the course of justice.
All three defendants are due to appear before Norwich Magistrates’ Court on 10 July 2026.
