Teen charged with terror and explosives offences after arrest in south Norfolk
The 17-year-old is due before magistrates tomorrow
A 17-year-old boy from south Norfolk has been charged with a series of offences, including possessing explosive substances, following an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing London into suspected extreme right-wing terrorism.
He was arrested at a house in south Norfolk on 10th April last year and faces 16 charges in total.
The alleged offences reportedly took place in Norfolk between April 2023 and April 2025, according to the Metropolitan Police.
The teenager is charged with five counts related to the making, possession, or control of explosive substances.
Additionally, he faces two counts of disseminating terrorist publications and is accused of possessing information that could be helpful to someone committing or preparing acts of terrorism.
He is also charged with two counts of publishing or distributing threatening, abusive, or insulting written material, allegedly distributing flyers that incite racial hatred.
Further charges include making indecent images of children, blackmail, racially aggravated criminal damage, and possession of a homemade firearm without a valid firearms certificate.
He is also charged with damaging property, allegedly through graffiti.
The boy is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
