Police have seized equipment following an illegal rave in Thetford.

It took place at a site close to Grimes Graves, where officers were called in the early hours of Sunday morning (15 March).

It is estimated that around 150-200 people were on scene.

No arrests have been made, but police have seized a Luton van full of sound equipment.

Inspector Matt Hendry said: “Unlicensed music events are organised without permission and without proper safety measures in place.

“They create noise, traffic issues, and are anti-social for residents which is why we will take robust action when they are identified.

“Early intervention is key in disrupting these events and vigilance from the public and landowners is always much appreciated.”
