Sarah Taylor has resigned as Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk.
The news was announced on the Norfolk PCC website on Thursday (4 June 2026).
Mark Stokes, Chief Executive for the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk, said:
"I can confirm that today, Thursday 4 June, I received Sarah Taylor’s resignation as Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk. Sarah Taylor has resigned as Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk.
"On behalf of the Office, I would like to thank Sarah for her service as Police and Crime Commissioner and for her contribution to policing, community safety and criminal justice across Norfolk.
"I am working with the relevant authorities to ensure that all necessary legal and governance processes are followed. Further information will be provided as appropriate once the next steps have been confirmed."
