Reform, Greens, and Great Yarmouth First make gains across Norfolk

The results of the local elections are being announced across the county

Results from the local elections are coming in across Norfolk, with Reform, the Green Party, and Great Yarmouth First gaining ground in the county.

For Norfolk County Council, Reform have made gains, yet fallen short of majority control.

In Norwich, the Green Party have taken control of the city council.

And for Great Yarmouth First, founded by Rupert Lowe MP last year, they have claimed more than half a dozen seats.

Norfolk County Council's results saw Reform UK with 40 seats, and the Liberal Democrats in second place with 13.

The Green Party registered 12 divisions in the county council, with 9 for Great Yarmouth First.

The Conservatives now hold 8 seats, and Labour just one.

The council was controlled by the Conservatives, which they had done since 2017.

Norwich City Council is now under the control of the Green Party.

They won 11 of the 14 seats up for election, and they now have 21 councillors overall.

Labour lost all 8 of the councillors that were up for election.

The Liberal Democrats remained with one councillor, while Reform gained two.
